An Airport Assessment and Governance Options Analysis was prepared for the Delaware Municipal Airport by the Aviation Management Consulting Group.

In its findings, AMCG emphasized the importance of strategic planning, financial sustainability, stakeholder collaboration and the adoption of an airport authority governance structure. Advantages included long-term success, a regional service focus and economic benefits.
