The City of Delaware is pleased to announce an upcoming open house event that will provide residents with an opportunity to learn more about local income taxes, City services, and a tax proposal being considered by the City Council. We invite all residents to join us and engage on this important fiscal proposal.
Date: Wednesday, September 27, 2023
Time: Stop by anytime between 6 pm and 8 pm
Location: National Guard Armory Community Room (enter through the YMCA doors), 1121 S. Houk Road
The open house will serve as a platform for residents to gain insight into the proposal and its potential impact on our city. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with various City of Delaware directors and elected officials, who will be on hand to answer questions and discuss various aspects of the proposal.
Highlights of the event include:
Information Stations: Multiple information stations will be set up, each focusing on different aspects of the proposal. Residents can visit these stations to gather detailed information and discuss their concerns.
One-on-One Conversations: Residents will have the chance to engage in one-on-one conversations with directors and elected officials to address specific questions and concerns regarding the proposal.
Mayor Carolyn Kay Riggle encourages residents to attend, to help shape the city's fiscal policies. "Our residents' input is invaluable,” she said. “The open house is a fantastic opportunity for residents to ask questions, express their concerns and share their thoughts with us."
