City offices are closed May 30 and refuse will not be collected. Residential refuse and recycling crews will operate on the “next day” collection schedule for the week, beginning Tuesday, June 31, through Saturday, June 4. A Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 30, will begin at 10 am at Oak Grove Cemetery, 334 S. Sandusky Street. The ceremony, organized by local Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1095, will include a flag presentation, speeches, the playing of “Taps,” and a rifle and cannon volley. The group asks attendees to please bring a lawn chair.
